President of Nigeria Cricket Federation, Emeka Onyeama has charged cricketers representing the country in the ICC World league division 5 qualifiers to come out with flying colours.
The delegation of players and officials of the federation will depart the country today for South Africa to fight for one of the slots to division 4.
Onyeama expressed confidence that with the intense one month training the players went through in Abuja, team Nigeria will put up a good show in the competition in Johannesburg.
“Cricket is about persevering in any condition. They have trained in a harsh weather condition, and they are going into a more conducive natural environment. Having taken this type of training, they will not have any reason not to make Nigerians proud. I wish them good luck. And I believe that this is the beginning of good for Nigeria Cricket Federation.”
Nigeria’s first match will be against Tanzania on Friday. The competition will hold from the 7th to the 17th of this month.
