Bayelsa United slips to second place in the Southern Conference of the Nigeria National League

Bayelsa United Football Club has slipped to second place in the Southern Conference of the Nigeria National League after loosing 0 – 3 to Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho in Matchday 9 of the league played at the Ogbomosho Township Stadium on Sunday.

Elsewhere Heartland of Owerri defeated Osun United of Osogbo 2 – 0, while AS Racines of Lagos lost 0 – 2 to Delta Force of Asaba.

Ikorodu United of Lagos won by 2 goals to nothing against My People Football Club also of Lagos.

Elsewhere, in the Matchday 6 fixtures in the Northern Conference of the league, a goal in each half meant Kogi United succumbed to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of in form Yobe Desert Stars on Saturday in Damaturu.

Mohammed Dajibir opened the lead for Yobe side whose stars have been shining bright this season after connecting a lose ball in United’s box before hitting a target past Ogundare Detan at the dead of half time.

Abdullahi Usman doubled the lead for the hosts at the stroke of an hour mark as his header in the crowded box sailed in from Adamu Danjuma’s corner.
