Afe Babalola fc barred from further participation in the 2016/2017 NNL season

Ekiti State based Afe Babalola Football Club have been stopped from further participation in the 2016/2017 Bet9ja Nigeria National League for contravening the League rules.

According to the management of the nation’s second tier league, Afe Babalola violated articles 14.7,14.10 and 14.11 of the rules guiding the League.
Afe Babalola cumulatively failed to honour three matches in the Northern Conference of the league.

They failed to honour their games with :
1. Adamawa United
2. FC Taraba, and
3. Jigawa Golden Stars.
NNL management also ruled that all matches played and yet to be played by Afe Babalola are not valid any more.

Consequently, the fixtures and club standing in the League table in the Northern Conference would be adjusted accordingly.
