Former PDP chieftains advance their careers with the Advanced People’s Democratic Alliance (APDA)

A new political party, the Advanced People’s Democratic Alliance (APDA) has been unveiled.

The party is made up of mainly some former chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which has been enmeshed in protracted leadership crisis since losing the 2015 presidential election.

While unveiling the party in Abuja, the interim national chairman of the party, Mallam Shittu Cabiru said the party’s political leaning was social democracy.

Alhaji Ibrahim expained that APDA is a different political party with no affiliation with the PDP.

The flags of the party were handed over to the states’ chairmen of the party.
